CDSNA NATIONAL BOARD & REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS
The CDSNA Board of Directors works all year round. The length of service is three years. This period of service is 2024 - 2027. The next Board will be inducted in at the 2027 General Members Meeting in Scotland.
Mark Peterson, President
Joined in 2002. He and Cora became Regents for CA (North) in 2003 where they hosted AGMs, attended the Gathering of the Clans, and served as CDSNA Vice President twice, and this is his second time as CDSNA President. Inducted as 2024-2027 President at the 50th Anniversary General Members Meeting.
Scott Douglas, Vice President & Virginia Co-Regent
Greetings from your newly elected Vice President!
Scott Douglas was born in Salem, Oregon, in July 1961 to Arlen and Delee Douglas. He attended school in Salem before joining the military at the age of twenty. Scott served twenty-two years in the US Army and Army National Guard. His military career brought him to Virginia, where he met his lovely wife, Michelle. They married in 1996 and currently reside in Manassas, Virginia.
Professionally, Scott is a Farrier. He is also Co-Regent for Virginia State and actively participates in the Alexandria, Virginia Scottish Christmas Parade and Hogmanay with the Maryland Saint Andrew Society. Scott has proudly won the Bonnie Knees competition three times!
Carol Bianchini-Morton, Secretary & OR (North) Regent
Joined the CDSNA Board in 2021 as Secretary and became the Oregon (North) Regent in 2016. Hosted the 2021 GMM in Portland, Oregon. In 2024, became Trustee for the Portland Highland Games and Clan Tent Organizer. Over 20 years of community service and service on non-profit Boards.
Tom Douglas, Treasurer
Tom became CDSNA Treasurer in 2021 and is a longtime Life member, Tom attends games in Florida and other states.
Chuck Mirabile, Past President & CO Regent
Chuck is the CDSNA Past President and Regent for Colorado who regularly attends meetings and guides the Board.
Tim Tyler, Past President and Southern California Regent, Tim Tyler attends Costa Mesa, Ventura, and Vista Highland Games. And assists the Regent. Attends other games as President in CA, AZ, NV, and TX. Tim volunteers at other Scottish associations.
Cora Peterson, Regional Vice President West
Cora has been the Co-Regent for Northern California since 2003 and previously served as Assistant Storekeeper. She has also volunteered and held officer positions in numerous Scottish organizations.
Sam Thayer, Regional Vice President East & NC Co-Regent
Sam Thayer is our newest Asst. Vice President of the Eastern region of the United States and Canada. Sam is the CDSNA Co-Regent of North Carolina.
Harold Edington, Regional Vice President Central
and Editor of the Dubh Ghlase
Harold is a valued CDSNA volunteer collaborating with Regents nationwide. As the Dubh Ghlase Editor, he excels as a history and genealogy expert, educating our members through the quarterly e-Newsletter, Dubh Ghlase.
